About The Book

Adab al-Sufiyya is Imam al-Qushayri's compact treatise on the manners (adab) of the Sufis — a shorter companion piece to his foundational al-Risala al-Qushayriyya. Where the Risala provides the systematic exposition of Sufi terminology and stations, Adab al-Sufiyya distills the practical etiquette of the wayfarer: how he sits, how he speaks, how he eats, how he listens, how he dresses, how he travels, how he receives guests, how he visits the sick, how he attends a funeral. The work is intended as a daily companion for the serious wayfarer, returning him constantly to the lived discipline of the path.

About The Author

Imam Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Karim al-Qushayri (376-465 AH / 986-1072 CE) was a Khurasani Shafii jurist, Ashari theologian, and Sufi master. His al-Risala al-Qushayriyya is the foundational systematic exposition of Sunni Sufism.

"آداب الصوفية" رسالةُ الإمام القشيري المختصرة في آداب الصوفية — رسالةٌ صغيرة مُكَمِّلة لِرسالته الأصلية "الرسالة القشيرية". وحيث تَبْسُط الرسالةُ الكبرى مصطلحات التصوف ومنازله نظامياً، تَرْكُز "آداب الصوفية" على الأَدَب العملي للسالك: كيف يَجْلِس، وكيف يَتَكَلَّم، وكيف يَأْكُل، وكيف يَسْمَع، وكيف يَلْبَس، وكيف يُسافر، وكيف يَسْتَقْبِل ضَيْفَه، وكيف يَزور المريض، وكيف يَحْضُر الجَنازة. هي صحبةٌ يومية لِلسَّالك الجادّ تُعِيدُه دائماً إلى الانضباط العَمَلي للطريق.

عن المؤلف

الإمام أبو القاسم عبد الكريم القشيري (٣٧٦-٤٦٥ هـ) فقيه شافعي ومتكلّم أشعري وشيخ صوفي خراساني. "رسالته القشيرية" متن التصوف السنّي الكلاسيكي.
