Dalil al-Tujjar ila Akhlaq al-Akhyar
About The Book
Dalil al-Tujjar ila Akhlaq al-Akhyar is Imam Yusuf al-Nabhani's manual of Islamic business ethics โ a practical guide for the Muslim merchant on the manners (akhlaq) of the upright in commercial life. Drawing on the Quranic injunctions on weight, measure, debt, and contract; on the canonical hadith concerning the rewards of the honest trader and the warnings against deception; and on the lived Sunni-Sufi tradition of pious merchants from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq onward, the work treats truthfulness in transactions, the prohibition of riba, the obligations of zakat, the manners of dealing with competitors and employees, and much more. Composed in a register accessible to working merchants of the late-Ottoman commercial cities.
