About The Author
al-Sayyid Muhammad b. Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani (1365-1425 AH / 1944-2004 CE) was the supreme contemporary Hijazi sayyid scholar โ Maliki in fiqh, Ashari in kalam, Sufi in his inner orientation, and the teacher of multiple subsequent generations of Sunni scholars across the Muslim world. From his home in Makka he taught, authored, and guided the global traditional Sunni revival of the second half of the twentieth century. His works โ published as the Dar al-Hawi imprint โ span fiqh, hadith, sira, Quranic sciences, and the defence of traditional Sunni-Sufi practice.
