Fath al-Allam bi-Sharh al-Ilam bi-Ahadith al-Ahkam is Imam Zakariyya al-Ansari's Shafii commentary on the foundational hadith-of-rulings (ahadith al-ahkam) compendium. The work brings together those hadiths from which the rulings of Islamic jurisprudence are derived, organised by legal chapter, and for each anchors the Shafii position on the relevant question while engaging the principal positions of the other schools. It is at once a hadith commentary and a working Shafii fiqh manual — the kind of bridge text that has long been a teaching companion for advanced Shafii students.

About The Author

Imam Zakariyya b. Muhammad al-Ansari (826-926 AH / 1423-1520 CE) was the foremost Shafii authority of late Mamluk-era Egypt and chief mufti of the school in his time. A student of Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani in hadith and al-Mahalli in fiqh, he reached an exceptionally old age and authored standard works across the Shafii curriculum — including the Manhaj al-Tullab, the Sharh al-Bahja al-Wardiyya, and his celebrated Asna al-Matalib.

هذا الكتاب شرحُ الإمام زكريا الأنصاري على متنٍ في أحاديث الأحكام — وهي الأحاديث التي تُسْتَنْبَط منها أحكامُ الفقه الإسلامي. رتَّب المؤلِّفُ الكتابَ على أبواب الفقه، فمَكَّن للقارئ من رؤية الموقف الشافعي في كلِّ مسألةٍ مع التماس مواقف بقيّة المذاهب. هو شرحُ حديثٍ ومتنُ فقهٍ شافعي معاً، فيه نَفْعٌ خاصٌّ لطالب الفقه الشافعي المتقدّم.

عن المؤلف

الإمام زكريا بن محمد الأنصاري (٨٢٦-٩٢٦ هـ) إمام الشافعية في عصره ومُفتيها بمصر المماليكية. تتلمذ على الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني في الحديث، وعلى المحلّي في الفقه. عَمَّر طويلاً، وصنَّف في جميع علوم المذهب الشافعي — منها "منهج الطلاب"، و"شرح البهجة الوردية"، و"أسنى المطالب".
