Kanz al-Raghibin Sharh Minhaj al-Talibin is Imam Jalal al-Din al-Mahalli's foundational commentary on al-Nawawi's Minhaj al-Talibin and the universal teaching companion to the matn across the Shafii world. Where the matn presents al-Nawawi's positions in tight prose, al-Mahalli's commentary unfolds them for the working student, explaining the technical vocabulary, supplying the underlying juristic reasoning, and resolving the apparent difficulties in the matn. For more than five centuries, the matn-commentary pairing has been the central study unit of intermediate Shafii fiqh.

About The Author

Imam Jalal al-Din al-Mahalli (791-864 AH / 1389-1459 CE) was a Cairene Shafii master whose Kanz al-Raghibin Sharh Minhaj al-Talibin is the foundational commentary on Imam al-Nawawi's Minhaj and the universal teaching companion to the matn. He began the Tafsir al-Jalalayn (composing the second half) but died before completing it; al-Suyuti subsequently composed the first half to complete the work.

عن المؤلف

الإمام جلال الدين المحلي (٧٩١-٨٦٤ هـ) إمامُ شافعية القاهرة في عصره. كنزُ الراغبين شرحُه التأسيسي على منهاج النووي والصُّحبةُ التَّعْليمية الأَوْلى للمتن. ابتدأ تَفسيرَ الجلالين فأَتمَّ النصفَ الثاني وتُوُفِّي قبل إكماله، فأَتمَّه السيوطي.
